Fiberglass (FRP) is an increasingly widely used material for structures in contexts where durability, corrosion resistance and speed of installation matter. At the same time, the European regulatory framework is evolving and calling for an increasingly structured design approach.
For this reason, together with CISM – International Centre for Mechanical Sciences, M.M. is offering an Advanced Professional Training course entitled “Structures in Fibre-Reinforced Polymer Composite Materials (FRP)“, scheduled for 4 February 2026.
The one-day course, available both in person and online, is aimed at engineers and designers wishing to deepen their knowledge of design criteria, checks and real-world applications for the design of FRP structures. The course will examine analysis criteria and verification methods in light of the main technical references, with calculation examples, practical applications and case histories.
Alongside contributions from the Italian universities of Trieste (Chiara Bedon) and Ferrara (Fabio Minghini), there will also be an international component, with lecturers from the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon (João Ramôa Correia and José Gonilha). M.M.’s contribution will bring a practical, hands-on perspective through talks by colleagues Manuela Buttazzi, Senior Structural Engineer, and Francesco Ciani, Technical Office Manager.
Save the date:
Date: Friday, 4 February
Venue: Udine, CISM headquarters, Palazzo del Torso, with the option to attend online as well
