Tailor-made solutions for unique settings
Looking for an innovative material for your special projects? FRP is exactly what you’re looking for!
With gratings and structural FRP profiles, it is possible to design custom-made products that retain the material’s technical performance unchanged: weather resistance, electrical insulation, lightness and ease of installation, durability and maintenance-free design.
Innovation starts with ideas
Innovation begins, above all, with the ability to give shape to ideas. Here are a few examples:
The world of design
The world of design has already seized the opportunity to draw inspiration from M.M.’s gratings and FRP structures to create original installations.
The high chemical resistance gratings from M.M.’s Premium Line are mainly used in chemically aggressive environments, but their translucent colour – green for isophthalic resin and natural for vinylester resin – makes them visually very appealing.
Designers, architects and planners have already used them to create original solutions for temporary installations, bringing M.M. gratings to international exhibition spaces such as the Design Museum in London and MAAT in Lisbon, as well as high-profile events such as Milan’s FuoriSalone and the Rome Architecture Festival.
Cultural heritage
The cultural heritage sector has already discovered M.M.’s gratings and FRP structures for projects at archaeological sites.
Stairways and grating walkways – whether blending in with or deliberately contrasting the surrounding environment, depending on the design concept – have been installed to allow visitors to safely immerse themselves in the wonders of Italy’s artistic heritage.
Science facilities
Science facilities have long appreciated the qualities of FRP products, as demonstrated by the Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, a multidisciplinary research centre of excellence specialising in the generation of high-quality synchrotron light and free-electron lasers and their applications in the materials and life sciences.
