FRP solutions for industrial environments
The manufacturing industry transforms raw materials into consumer goods using machinery, tools and labour. In this production context, M.M.’s FRP gratings and structural steelwork offer an effective response to the need for durability, safety and strength, particularly in the textile, leather processing, paper and metallurgical sectors.
Technical walkways and flooring with FRP gratings
Walking surfaces made with M.M.’s FRP gratings ensure:
- resistance to chemical substances, particularly in the formulation with pure isophthalic and vinylester resins
- anti-slip, dielectric and self-extinguishing properties
- with the ESD LINE finish, antistatic-dissipative characteristics
- ease of installation, thanks to lightweight panels that require no special tools
Covered FRP gratings are used to build duct and manhole covers with load capacities ranging from pedestrian to vehicular. Frames and seating angles are also available to complete the installation.
Custom-shaped laminates are used to create infill panels and covers for existing walking surfaces with anti-slip finishes.
Where necessary, floating floors can be created with adjustable polypropylene supports of various heights, useful for the orderly routing of cables and pipework.

Safe access to machinery
M.M. designs and builds walkways, stairways and parapets in accordance with the EN ISO 14122 standard, ensuring maximum operator safety.
Fixed ladders provide safe access to storage tanks made of FRP, polypropylene or stainless steel. Purpose-designed metal brackets used to fix the structures also compensate for any differential thermal expansion. These brackets, together with support consoles, are developed and supplied to ensure the FRP ladder is perfectly integrated with the tank during construction.
Electrical protection for operators
Modular FRP fences, lightweight and pre-assembled, make it possible to safely enclose live equipment, thanks to the material’s insulating properties, which reduce the risk of electrocution.
Making existing stairs safer is also made easier with step covers featuring a step nosing, which can be quickly fitted onto concrete or steel steps. Finally, custom-cut FRP steps, with an anti-slip surface, with or without a step nosing, ensure optimal safety at every access point.
