M.M.’s custom-made solutions for chemically aggressive environments

Drawing on its experience in the sector, M.M. offers a wide range of FRP – Fibreglass Reinforced Polymer – gratings and structures specifically developed to build service walkways and support structures within galvanic plants.

Modular, safe, easy-to-install structures

Galvanic plants are characterised by tanks arranged in series, fitted with automatic equipment for dipping and lifting. In this context, M.M. provides custom-made access structures, designed to ensure:

  • operator safety
  • simplified installation
  • maximum flexibility during assembly

M.M.’s grating structures are supplied in pre-assembled modules with dedicated assembly plans to simplify installation, ensuring:

  • height-adjustable surfaces;
  • walking surfaces in various widths, to optimise space or facilitate the handling of large parts;
  • safe work areas, with parapets and toe-plates adaptable to specific operating needs, including direction changes, different heights and removable sections;
  • the option to connect pipe bundles to the structure along the entire length of the walkways, in line with plant and architectural constraints;
  • logistics planning for supplies, to meet the client’s needs as work progresses.

Chemical resistance guaranteed with the Premium Line

For chemically aggressive environments, M.M. recommends the use of Premium Line gratings, which use pure isophthalic and vinylester resins, ensuring:

  • full coverage of the glass fibre thanks to a high resin content and optimised geometries
  • high resistance to most acids and bases.

Specialised technical support and evolving solutions

M.M.’s technical team’s extensive experience in the sector makes it possible to:

  • Design custom in-line walkways, even for complex, multi-part galvanic plants, complete with access ladders, parapets and opening hatches, and height-adjustable feet
  • Integrate additional elements with minimal modifications to meet the plant’s evolving needs

FRP gratings and profiles are used in:

  • Working platforms
  • Walkways
  • Stairways with parapets
  • Vertical ladders
  • Internal machinery components

All elements are designed to offer maximum safety, modularity and functionality.

Compliance with key technical standards

M.M.’s gratings comply with the main technical and safety standards:

  • DIN 24537-3 for grating production
  • DIN 51130 – anti-slip level R10 to R13
  • EN 13501, ASTM E84, NFP 92-507 – for high fire reaction performance

Structural work is manufactured in accordance with the EN ISO 14122-1,2,3,4 standard for means of access to machinery.
