FRP solutions for the food industry
M.M.’s FRP gratings and structures are particularly well suited to companies in the food industry involved in beverage bottling or in the production of finished and semi-finished products for consumption, through the processing and transformation of products from primary activities such as agriculture, livestock farming, forestry and fishing.

Safety: anti-slip, electrically insulating FRP gratings
M.M.’s gratings are designed to ensure a high safety standard, even in difficult conditions. Thanks to anti-slip classification from R10 to R13 in accordance with DIN 51130, they ensure safe passage even in the presence of:
- wet surfaces
- oily residues
- condensation
In addition, they offer excellent electrical insulation, compliant with the EN 61340-2-3 and IEC 61340-4-5 standards, helping protect operators in environments with sensitive electrical equipment. In contexts with a potentially explosive atmosphere (ATEX), such as grain processing, M.M. supplies gratings with an ESD LINE finish, which ensure electrostatic dissipation and reduce the risk of ignition sources.
Easy to sanitise and work with
FRP products are resistant to detergents, making it easier to periodically clean work environments and enabling compliance with HACCP hygiene standards. This results in a drastic reduction in maintenance costs, essential in high-productivity plants.
Flexibility of use and made-to-measure processing
M.M.’s FRP products are ideal for:
- walking surfaces serving production lines
- access structures to machinery (walkways, parapets, stairs)
- machinery components
Their high workability – cutting, drilling and shaping – both in production, thanks to CNC machines, and during on-site assembly without the need for special equipment, makes them particularly versatile. FRP gratings, custom-made to the client’s drawings, can be integrated directly into machinery, generally offering a lower cost than stainless steel solutions.
