Thanks to their permeability to electromagnetic waves, M.M.’s FRP – Fibreglass Reinforced Polymer – gratings and pultruded profiles are particularly well suited to building airport perimeter security fences, as they do not interfere with the radio communication systems used for aircraft take-off and landing operations, thereby ensuring the safety of aircraft departing, arriving and taxiing on the runways.
Perimeter protection for airports
Fences with mesh or grating, made respectively with profiles and mesh, or profiles and gratings, in FRP. As well as being radio-transparent, they are frangible. To increase perimeter security, this type of fence can be fitted with a barbed-wire anti-climb topping, combined with pedestrian and driveway gates.
Organ-pipe style fences made with pultruded FRP profiles of various geometries for posts and rails, with multiple heights and post spacings for the inner section of the fence.
Gates made of FRP, available in various versions: with pultruded profiles and mesh, with pultruded profiles and gratings, or with pultruded profiles in organ-pipe style.
Airport barriers designed to delimit manoeuvring areas, enclose construction zones or create taxiways. This is a modular solution for removable New Jersey-type barriers made with FRP profiles and gratings.
Jet blast deflectors made of FRP to withstand the jet blast from aircraft engines during taxiing and take-off.
