Objectives
To combine the architectural effect of innovative materials with the natural characteristics of the park and the need for minimum maintenance and maximum safety in the applications.
Solution
M.M. proposed and successfully installed the SCH30/28_ISO open rectangular mesh gratings in polyester resin and fibreglass, certified as durable products and not subjectto a decline in mechanical performance according to the UNI EN ISO 9142/04 standard and AVS requirements. Open mesh gratings were selected to give the fountain an innovative look. M.M. gratings were also used for all technical installations within the park, requiring resistance to sea water and an appropriate level of safety. The quartz grains treatment was applied on the surface to make it slip resistant and ensure high adhesion even under wet surface conditions, according to the DIN 51130 standard (R13 V10 level).
