M.M. fibreglass gratings and structures and their related accessories turn out to be particularly suited for the requirements of the railway transport system. Owing to the presence of electricity, non-conducting materials must be used. M.M. products are designed and tested to ensure maximum electrical insulation in compliance with the existing EN 61340 – 2-3 e IEC 61340-4-5 safety standards, which allow to classify M.M. products as excellent insulators (surface resistance and resistivity (Rs), transverse resistance and resistivity (Rt) and resistivity and safety electric resistance to ground). M.M. products can be used to cover manholes and channels, conduits (along the line) for rainwater and to build non-conductive walking surfaces, enclosures, dielectric interruptions. The slip resistant version, which complies with the DIN 51130 standard, increases safety for both operators and railway system users. M.M. gratings are manufactured according to the DIN 24537 – 3 standard. The radio-transparent properties of M.M. fibreglass gratings make them especially suited for enclosures in airports, also in their modular and preassembled easy-to-install version. The resistance to brackish environments makes M.M. fibreglass products especially suited for docks, quays, ladders (inclined and vertical) and enclosures in harbours and inland waters. M.M. also supplies FRP parapets for operators’ and users’ safety. All M.M. products are manufactured according to UNI EN ISO 14122 – 1,2,3,4, standards and Legislative Decree 81/2008 on safety in the workplace. M.M. provides CE-marked ladders for manholes in compliance with the UNI EN 14396 standard. In addition to the above mentioned characteristics, all M.M. fibreglass products are light, easy to install and maintenance-free.
