M.M. fibreglass gratings and structures and their related accessories are especially suited for the telecommunication network sector (telephone, radio, television, Internet) thanks to their non-conductivity and radio-transparency. M.M. products are designed and tested to ensure maximum electrical insulation in compliance with the existing EN 61340 – 2-3 and IEC 61340-4-5 safety standards, which allow to classify M.M. products as excellent insulators (surface resistance and resistivity (Rs), transverse resistance and resistivity (Rt) and soil resistance and resistivity). The gratings can be used for masts or radio-transparent aerial poles, support structures such as walking surfaces, gangways, ladders and enclosures and to cover manholes. FRP parapets complement the range of products. All M.M. products are manufactured according to UNI EN ISO 14122 – 1,2,3,4, standards and Legislative Decree 81/2008 on safety in the workplace. M.M. provides CE-marked ladders for inspection chambers in compliance with the UNI EN 14396 standard. In light of the fierce local opposition to the construction of new base transceiver stations owing to their strong visual impact, M.M. products are used to build “screening” structures for telecommunication substations.
